Firework Party

Public Events

Basildon Round Table have been running our annual bonfire and fireworks display since 1965. Originally held on the Laindon Link, and later at Markham's Chase, the event has been held in Gloucester Park for many years. The event is put on by volunteers and is kindly supported by a number of local sponsors, meaning that we are able to raise lots of money for local causes.

Please note that the details on this website may be subject to change, particularly in the event of inclement weather.

Admission Policy: Basildon Round Table reserves the right to refuse admission or to eject any guests whose behaviour falls below the standards we would reasonably expect at a family event. Please do not bring fireworks, sparklers, alcohol or animals to the event as they will not be allowed onto the site. The gates open at 6pm - to avoid long queues please arrive in good time.

Parking: There is no parking available at Gloucester Park. There is parking in the town centre, 5 minutes walk from the site.

Disabled Guests: Due to the layout of the venue there are no specific facilities for disabled guests. However, the venue can be accessed and there is hard-standing available for guests in wheelchairs.

Safety: Public safety is the priority at our event. The event has been subject to a full risk assessment and appropriate safety procedures have been put in place. For your own safety please remain behind the barriers and do not enter the fallout zone. We request that you follow any directions given by our stewards - they are for your own safety. In the event of injury or illness please notify an event steward who will direct you to St John's Ambulance, who will be on site throughout the event.

Weather: Obviously we can't control the weather, but the event takes place at night in a field in November... wrap up warm, wear sensible footwear and be prepared for the possibility of mud! Depending on the prevailing winds some ash from the fireworks may fall into the crowd, this is basically harmless but may mark clothing - we recommend leaving your new designer jacket at home!

Volunteers: Please be polite to our stewards as the event is organised and run entirely by volunteers and your respect is the only reward that they will receive! If you are interested in volunteering to help, please send us an email.

Charity: Every penny raised by the event goes to our charity - click here for more information.
Contact: If you are interested in finding out more then please call on 07950527104 or click here to send us an email.
